Nathan Beal – Director of Operations & Transportation, Storm Lake CSD
I have been the Transportation Director at Storm Lake CSD since June of 2014. This past February, I accepted the position of Director of Operations & Transportation. Like many of us, I began my school bus driving adventure as a substitute driver for Storm Lake St. Mary’s in 2006. I graduated from Albert City – Truesdale in 1998 and later attended Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City.
I have a strong desire to volunteer and be a leader within my community. I have 28 years in the fire service and currently serve on 2 fire departments. I am the Assistant Fire Chief for Rembrandt Fire and a Lieutenant for Storm Lake Fire. I’m also an active member of both the Buena Vista Co. Ice Rescue and Buena Vista Co. Dive teams.
My wife, Brynn, is a 3rd-grade teacher with the Storm Lake CSD. Together we have 4 children – Spencer, 22, Gavin, 20, Brennen, 15, and Bryar, 5. There isn’t much in the way of downtime with these four, but if there is, Brynn and I enjoy riding motorcycles with friends.
Student transportation is always challenging, but when you are surrounded by great people, together we do make a difference in the lives of the children we transport. I would appreciate your support and look forward to further serving you, the members of the IPTA.
