Max Christensen, Dept. of Education Representative

Max Christensen joined the Department of Education in 2003.

Prior to joining the D.E., Max was the Director of Transportation at Perry and Anita. Iowa. Max's career has included farming, driving motor coach buses, DJ at sereral radio stations and now Executive Officer of the Transportation office with the Department of Education.

Max has been active in the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services(NASDAPTS) group, serving as President until the fall of 2014  

Max's intentions are to help create the safest and most efficient  fleet of schools buses any state could have, and to work with other national associations in bringing that same level of safety and integrity to the national scene. Max's position on the board as an Education representative gives the IPTA a connection to current legislation and information dealing with the Department of Education, the legslature, and other key transportation stakeholders.
